Ihollani on tällä hetkellä varmaan nelisenkymmentä tatuointia. Continue reading Julle (Suomeksi/In Finnish)

My first tattoo is the hawk on my left shoulder. Before I got the tattoo, I spent lots of time thinking about its message. Finally, I ended up on a hawk theme. I got this tattoo about six years ago. The hawk is related to my past. I got bullied at school, and during middle … Continue reading Henri

I’ve always felt like an outsider. I was born in Porvoo, Southern Finland, but we moved to Lapland when I was 10 years old. Our new home was in a small village where everyone knew each other and people belonged to their own cliques. Suddenly I was in a situation where I talked different, my … Continue reading Meri

Elisabet (Suomeksi/In Finnish)

Kiinnostuin todella paljon vaihtoehtoisesta ulkonäöstä joskus teini-iän tienoilla. Tiettyyn ikään asti olin hyvin tavallinen, vaaleatukkainen tyttö, mutta sitten iski päälle vastarinta, ja halusin alkaa ilmaista itseäni paremmin ulkonäköni avulla. Kehonmuokkaus kiehtoi minua ajatuksena, mutta koska en kuitenkaan tahtonut itselleni kovin rajuja kehonmuokkauksia, aloin hankkia lävistyksiä. Tatuoinnit puolestaan tuntuivat luonnolliselta jatkumolta lävistyksille. Ensimmäisen tatuoinnin otin 18-vuotislahjaksi … Continue reading Elisabet (Suomeksi/In Finnish)

I really got interested in alternative looks during my teenage years. Up to a certain age, I was an ordinary girl with blonde hair, but then I started to feel I want to express myself with my appearance. I was fascinated by different kinds of body modifications but still wanted to keep my own looks … Continue reading Elisabet

When I was younger, I used to draw tattoo designs for other people just for fun. Mostly they were tribal tattoos, which people brought with them to a tattoo shop then and tattooed on their skin. At some point, someone asked whether I should purchase my own tattooing equipment. As a result, I ended up … Continue reading Roope

Although my tattoos are made one piece at a time during the years, Twin Peaks forms a single, unified theme on my skin. I saw Twin Peaks for the first time somewhere between my junior high and high school years. I’ve spent my youth in a small town where life was mainly drifting without any … Continue reading Miika

I got my lion tattoo when I was 17 years old. I had been thinking of different tattoo designs since I was a teenager, but luckily my mom told me not to get a tattoo just yet. Back then those designs were mostly basic stars, tribals and so on – just everything that looked nice … Continue reading Teemu

The idea for my thigh tattoo came simply due the fact that I like Matryoska dolls. So, I don’t have any Russian lineage, as many people might think. When I was a little kid, my grandmother collected Matryoska dolls, and I always wanted to play with them while visiting her. I just thought they were … Continue reading Iina
